About the Role

Qred is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join its Payments team, a cross-functional group responsible for managing all payment-related services within the company. The role involves full ownership of the product lifecycle—from development to deployment—while working in a collaborative environment that values developer autonomy. The position offers an opportunity to work with modern AWS infrastructure and be part of a team that directly impacts the efficiency and scalability of Qred’s financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services that handle payment processes.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers, product managers, and tech leads to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
  • Implement, test, review, and deploy code to production with daily release cycles.
  • Operate and monitor developed applications, ensuring stability and performance in production environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and high availability of the backend systems.

Required Skills

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in backend development with Java.
  • Proficient in using Spring Framework and JPA.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and services.
  • Strong team player with a flexible, positive mindset and proactive approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a sense of ownership over product development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech or payment platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of modern microservices architecture.
  • Previous experience in agile environments with frequent deployment cycles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
