About the Role
At AUTO1, Java engineers contribute significantly to transforming the automotive sector by creating advanced tools and applications. This role focuses primarily on backend operations with some involvement in JavaScript tasks. The position offers ownership of applications to ensure they deliver high-quality results and value to customers. Working within a diverse and fast-paced team, the engineer is encouraged to propose creative solutions and tackle both technical and business challenges.
Requirements
- Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain software throughout the entire lifecycle on a service-oriented platform consisting of over 300 RESTful microservices.
- Apply practical experience and a proactive mindset to solve complex issues efficiently.
- Push technological boundaries to keep AUTO1 at the forefront of innovation.
- Lead by example and support teammates through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to maintain high standards and explore opportunities to work with various technologies and software disciplines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Java development, especially with Spring frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
- Proven experience building REST APIs.
- Hands-on skills with Spring Boot; familiarity with Spring Cloud is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript is a plus, with openness to take on related tasks.
- Effective communication skills in English.
