About the Role

Senior Java Developer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java applications within a remote-friendly, agile team. Responsibilities include coding, optimizing performance, managing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating across teams. Requires 4–5 years of Java experience, proficiency with Spring or similar frameworks, SQL databases, and testing practices. Fluent English and Hungarian needed.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other teams to define and implement technical solutions.
• Review and optimize existing codebases to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.
• Participate in architectural and design discussions, proposing improvements and best practices.
• Manage build and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and maintain reliable release workflows.
• Produce technical documentation and perform functional and integration testing.

Requirements:

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience with Core Java, multithreading, design patterns, and frameworks such as Spring (Boot, MVC), Micronaut, or Quarkus.
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle); familiarity with NoSQL considered a plus.
• Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and optionally Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with microservices, service-oriented architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testing.
• Fluent English and Hungarian (spoken and written).
• Additional skills such as front-end basics (JavaScript, React, Angular), message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are an advantage.
